I was gifted these since I authentic had mentioned wanting to upgrade from the 2nd gen ones. After testing them out, I did not like them. The 2nd gen ones are much simpler and I think easier to use. I also prefer the shape of the 2nd gen in my ears. I don't care much for the special features it has, like the noise cancelation. If you prefer headphones with the little sponges that go in your ears, noise cancelling audio, and for them to be sweat and water resistant, then these are for you. My friend loves them, but I just didn't find them to be a good match for myself.
