Vintage Japanese Kozan Gama Scalloped Bowl & Plate Set circa 1960 Oriental Imari Bowl Plate Asian Rice Bowl Plate Kasan Kiln

A rare and beautiful set crafted in Gifu, prefecture of Japan! These vintage pieces are beautifully designed in ornate patterns and gorgeous flowers. The pieces date to approximately 1960, making them roughly 55 years old! The scalloped edges, vibrant colors and gold gilding on each piece make them simply elegant!

The bowl has 4 separate panels on the outside and a beautiful floral bouquet on the inside. The plate has 16 alternating panels on the rim and the same bouquet at the center. The plate measures approximately 6-3/4” inches in diameter. The bowl measures approximately 4-3/4” in diameter and 2-1/2” tall. Each base has the back stamp of a blue square with several characters; which mean “Kasan Kiln”. For their age – they are in amazing condition! There is nothing to note - no blemishes, cracks, chips, crazing, scratches or repairs.
