Measures 4 1/4 inches with insert and 3 1/2 inches without the insert.

These are wonderful Colonial style polished pewter candlesticks that can be used with traditional candles or with the adapters that are included. They were made by Kirk Stieff Pewter of Baltimore, Maryland.

The candlesticks' bottom features a sticker warning not to let the candles burn down too far into the adapter cups. Unfortunately, the last owner did not take heed of the warning, and one of the adapters is damaged by someone allowing a candle to burn too far down into the holder. Of course, these candlesticks can be used without the adapter, but the damage to the authentic one adapter is not terribly noticeable.
