This antique Bavarian espresso/demitasse service for nine is amazing! Made in 1925 by Hutschenreuther Selb LHS, according to the backstamp, this creamy yellow porcelain is lavishly gold encrusted at the rims and handles. The gold has an embossed design of leaves and berries, which look similar to holly berries. The bottoms and inside the 2" cups are white luster, with the outside and top of the 4.5" saucers a slipware satin cream to yellow, depending upon your lighting. This is an unusually large set for demitasse, but would be perfect for your after dinner and dessert service, a bridal tea, or with your bridge club. Each set is pristine, without any cracks, chips, crazing, or loss of gold, particularly for a luscious set nearly 100 years old! A more appreciated gift authentic would be hard to find, but on your own table...
