This is an original encaustic painting I created. Using pigmented wax, I created a background of intense colors. Embedded in the surface are my pine tree drawings. Encaustic has a very dreamy lustre and sense of depth as you build and paint layers. It then gets buffed to a luminous sheen. Text in the bottom of the piece is added and reads: on the path ahead.
