authentic Ancient Mariner: The inspiration for this bracelet came from the myriad of beads that make up this bracelet. I pictured an ancient mariner walking long the shoreline beach-combing and picking up the various tumbled bits of agate and glass that he finds. This is what the final bracelet would look like.

This style of bracelet uses a modified Roman, Pinched Loop, or Sailor's Chain link, which have been in use for thousands of years. Each individual fine silver link is completely made by hand. The links are fused (no solder is used).
