This is an original oil painting completed on a triple primed stretched linen canvas support. I took a lot of time trying to figure out how I wanted the sky colors and mood to influence the rest of the composition. I decided to go with a simpler composition so it would not take away from the dominance of the sky mountain combination. I thought the overall sky mood and colors contrasted perfectly with the mountain highlights.
