If your kitchen color scheme is bright and cheery just imagine this black and white garlic keeper on your counter top. This is part of my black series of pieces. Each time the glaze takes on a different character depending on which clay is used and the length of time it takes for the glaze to cover the piece. The knob on the lid of the keeper is unusual and it adds so much interest to the keeper. I love to experiment with the knobs and I am really happy with this interesting one.

One of the people who purchased a similar garlic storage jar commented that every time she passes it in the kitchen, she says hello to it and smiles. If that is what my work can do, I am soooo happy. That is exactly what I do when I create a piece. I make it, then as it dries I say that I have to go and say hello to my work and wish it well in the long process ahead. I can safely say that my creations smile at me if the end result is appreciated by people who purchase them.

This garlic keeper is part of my new black glaze series and is just the right size for 8 garlic bulbs. This black glaze on white spotted clay brings out the contrast, which all adds to the interest.

My work is designed and created with much love, always with the utmost consideration for its use.
This item authentic is made from ceramic stoneware and is fired to a temperature of 1200 degrees Celsius (2192 Fahrenheit). It is glazed with lead-free and food safe glazes and is ideal for use in the oven and microwave but not over an open flame. It is dishwasher safe.

This item is handmade by me on the potter's wheel. I can create another one by order in any shape or size and in any glaze that you may see on other items in my shop. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements.

If the item is out of stock, I can make another one, but the new item may vary slightly in size. That's the beauty of handmade objects.

I work alone and hope you understand that creating new items will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks.
