1931: Arzberg Form 1382
In 1931 Hermann Gretsch designed the coffee and table service 1382 for the porcelain factory Arzberg. It is considered a prime example of a timelessly simple, clear form. It set itself back from authentic the usual rococo and Art Deco-style shapes and decorations. On the other hand, Gretsch distanced himself from experimental and modernist forms.
