A beautiful Italian hand-painted tile features “Il Medico, Dr. Joseph Palazola” (Dr. Joseph Palazola). The ceramic tile is affixed by the nails on a walnut plank.

Maioliche Originali Deruta (M.O.D.) located in Deruta, Italy was started in 1965. Ivan runs the workshop today, however, his father Antonio, in his late 80's still comes to the workshop and paints daily. M.O.D produce a wide variety of Italian ceramic items, ranging from classic tableware to vases and special items, to true art. All of these majolica pieces are hand-painted and all pieces, except for the tiles and dinner dishes (which must be stamped to be uniform) are hand thrown, by artisans living in Deruta, Italy.

Conditions:
The tile is in perfect condition, there is only 1 minor scratch on the wood plank. There is a hook in the back and it is ready to go on your wall.

Measurements:
The walnut wood plank is 9” x 15” x ½”, the tile is 5 7/8” x 11 1/8” x ½”.
