The Charlie B Gallery of Carson City, Nevada is offering this stoneware jar with gorgeous glaze design. From the internet, Tyrone Dean Larson (1938-) was born in Detroit, Michigan. A self-taught potter, he began working full-time with his wife Julie Larson in 1966 in their Royal Oak, Michigan studio. In "The Penland School of Crafts Book of Pottery" he admits to having been greatly influenced by John Glick (1938-2017). Tyrone exhibited at the Syracuse Ceramic Nationals in 1968 from Royal Oak, Michigan.
Signed Tyrone Larson, as shown. There is original factory roughness to the foot edge from kiln removal. I do not detect any post-factory issues such as chips, cracks, hairlines authentic or repairs. There is light toning to the gold pinstripe design. Everything is completely original. This jar has a nice ring when tapped. All fragile merchandise is shipped using the "double box" process.
