Lea Stein, a French trained artist, was born in Paris in 1931. She began making her whimsical pieces of jewellery in 1969, when her husband, Fernand Steinberger, came up with a process of laminating layers of rhodoid (cellulose acetate sheets) with interesting textures and colours. As you can see from the designs, Lea Stein's work is heavily influenced by the Art Deco authentic period. This little fairy is just lovely, she has a blue glittery dress and the wings have a touch of blue with glittery gold threads running through them. Measures approx. 7x7.5cm
