"Brand New Start - 9 x 12 - Oil - 2015. This is the first painting authentic in a short landscape painting series I once did in 2015 called, "Oz in Monterey County." I used to live in Carmel Valley, CA and everyday I was inspired by the beautiful surroundings. One day I was taking a long hike through a park and couldn't help but notice how the sun made the path I was on appear yellow. I said to myself, "This reminds me of The Wizard of Oz." I was instantly inspired to create a series of paintings that depicted my everyday surroundings as the land of Oz.
