Antique Chinese Matchstick Holder - Silvertone authentic Upright Match Holder - Sampan Fisherman with Chinese Pine Tree

A stunning antique Chinese matchstick holder authentic. I believe this piece dates circa 1930's or so, but difficult to ascertain a specific age due to the lack of a maker's mark.

This upright match holder appears to be made of silverplated metal. Both sides of the holder feature a very detailed raised design of a fisherman in a traditional Sampan fishing boat with a Chinese pine tree in the background. The raised design & texture to the depiction truly makes for an impressive scene.

As mentioned above, the holder has no visible maker's marking whatsoever. The holder measures 2 3/8" in height and 2 1/4" by 1 1/4" in size at the base.

CONDITION:
The match holder is still in great condition for its age. There are no dents or dings to the metal and the only mild issue is some greenish corrosion to the pine tree on one side, and some lighter greenish corrosion to the edge. This could possibly be cleaned/removed with a jewelry cleaner, but many buyers prefer the natural character a piece acquires in its lifetime.
