1815 British authentic Sterling Repousse Box, Deakin and Francis

Sterling vanity box, engraved "Alice". Hallmarks indicate year produced as 1815., Birmingham.
Maker is Deacon & Frances, founded 1786. Still operating today, still owned by Deakin family. 7 generations!

This box is gorgeous. Highly detailed, beautiful craftsmanship. It is in good condition, especially for it's age. Over time, the top has worn where raised embellishments continuously are handled.
