Our Whisky Quaich. The Quaich is a Scottish drinking cup which dates from the 16th century, the name coming from the Gaelic word Cuach which means cup. Traditionally used to offer guests a wee dram of whisky as a welcome or farewell. It is nowadays recognised as a symbol of friendship, admiration and respect.
This quaich is made from Scottish Burr Elm and measures 15cm diameter. Approximately 5.5cm high. Individually turned on the lathe in our workshop, it makes an extra special and very Scottish gift. It comes with a gift box as shown and some information about quaichs.
As this item is made to order, the colour of the wood does vary and it may differ slightly from the photos shown. Please let us know your preference if you have one.
