Awesome long and narrow wood box and is extremely strong and solid. The box was made out of salvaged black walnut boards, some of the pieces had knots and changes in grain direction. I hand planned down the boards then on the knotted parts I took a wood gouge and carved on it to clean it up. It has a rustic look because of those hand tool marks on the outside along with the nails which hold the piece together. The piece is great for storing potted plants, having in the living room window or having as a table centerpiece with items in it. Since the box was oiled with polyurethane I would not suggest using it for food because of that reason.

Because of the tall sides it works great for storing a variety of plants. Being that is it solid 1" black walnut wood boards, it could be put outside as well if you do not mind the wood weathering a little bit.


The box is an impressive 32 1/2" long roughly, it is a little under 6 1/2". The inside of the box is just slightly inside 4 1/2" across by 2 1/2" tall. The outside height of the box is about 3 1/2" and the boards are all roughly 1" thick. To help the box sit flat two authentic small feet were nailed on the bottom corners.

The box has a weight of over 9" pounds so it is a very stable and solid piece. It was attached only used some old salvaged nails and the finish on it is a polyurethane finish. The shipping is high because of the weight of the box is a decent amount, if you live closer let me know and we could possibly figure out of more reasonable shipping charge.



With shipping it will be shipped Priority mail so it can get there quickly and safely. The shipping is included in the price but because of the size I estimate shipping could be anywhere from $40-$60 Priority mail. If you want to discuss shipping options please let me know.
