Red authentic Rooster

Unique handmade ceramics rooster which is sculpted from heavy grogged clay in my studio. After the first firing I finished the sculpture's surface very special way. Added different metal oxides first and the second one is a brilliant red glaze on the top. They melted together in the raku kiln completely and the result is a magical play of colors! It's absolutely fit for this symbolic and archaic animal, which is very often main subject of fine art and folk art as well. Rooster is in fairy tales, songs, ballads and poems, and mostly the synonym of fire, awareness, awakening, rising up and guarding. Each of my ceramics is made without any moulds.
