After the closure of the papèterie in 1969 of Poncé sur le Loir, it was bought in 1972 by Thierry ROBERT, sandstone potter in Poncé, who restored the buildings of the eighteenth century. He created and directed the Centre artisanal de Paillard (LES GRES DU LOIR) with his wife Chantal, née FLANDRIN, until 1999. For more than 30 years, it was an important driving force for local life.
