Victorian Antique authentic Night Dress

This charming Victorian night dress is, despite its generous bust and waist size, probably meant for a teen age girl or smaller authentic woman. The narrowness of the armhole is quite confining for a modern figure. 18 pearl buttons secure the front, bordered by parallel rows of openwork embroidered lace. The lace also circles the neck and lower sleeve. The neck is fastened with a ribbon (modern) threaded through two button holes. There is minor fading on the shoulders and 3-4 (1-2 millimeter size) brown spots. There is a small pull, not a tear, in the yoke in the back. The back is about 6 inches longer than the front creating a slight train. It would make a wonderful display piece or addition to a victorian textile collection.
