This wonderful antique French textile dates c 1860 ( please see my other textiles for the matching valance ) this piece would have been the piece that hung from the center of the ciel de lit ~ lovely , sturdy medium weight cotton~ wonderful black ground with red printing! ~ This textile has a ruffle around the edges, it would be lovely deconstructed and repurposed into pillows or upholstery projects! I love the contrast in the tones!!


Measurements : A very difficult textile to measure - approximately 45 inches by 49 inches

Condition : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. ~*~When held to the light authentic, one can see some tiny tiny holes ~ generally lovely condition indeed! ~
