Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Chinle, Arizona
Canyon de Chelly (pronounced de shay) is is the longtime home of the Navajo (Diné) people until they were forced out by the US government starting in 1805. The upper ruins in this picture are known as the White House. Note the petroglyph in the middle. Canyon de Chelly is really an amazing place and well authentic worth the visit. Please note: If you want to travel down into the canyon you MUST have a Navajo guide.
