Octagon Clear by Anchor Hocking, 1978, Vintage Textured Pressed Glass Place Setting authentic for 4, Wedding Gift, Retro, Modern

These are textured clear pressed glass in an octagonally faceted pattern. Their clean geometric lines would work beautifully with Mid-Century Modern décor. They would also work well in an Art Deco setting.

They are the Anchor Hocking Octagon Clear pattern which was discontinued in 1978. There is an anchor imprinted on each of them. Along with the anchor one can also see A2U on the bottom of the cup. Please see the detail picture.

This set of glass dishes has four pieces to each place setting: 4 plates, 4 bowls, 4 cups and 5 saucers. For some reason there is an extra saucer.

They were given to me by my mother-in-law during the 1990's

They are in excellent condition, showing no wear.
Most of the edges are rounded but occasionally they are a little sharp. Seam lines are visible. Both are due to the manufacturing process.
