This is a Nikon Series E 50mm F1.8 lens for Nikon film SLR's, completely manual aperture and focus. Please note this lens doesn't have the “rabbit-ears”, so metering won't work with the film SLR's that meter using that system. I used this lens on my Nikon F3 without issue (and with working metering) up until I upgraded to a 50mm F1.4. Focus and aperture ring turn as they should. I priced this lower than “Excellent” rated copies on KEH due to the slight dust. Lens definitely authentic has dust on the inner elements, but image quality was not affected from what I can see.
