Beautiful terrine - scallop shell Terrine - French authentic vintage hand painted glazed terrine

One of the rarer designs, this is a beautiful vintage Coquille St Jacques (scallop shell) terrine made in France, in excellent condition. The shell is not signed on the bottom of the dish but it is in my mind a Michel Caugant terrine. It authentic is hand painted and an eye-catching piece of art as well as a useful dish for serving pâté. It would look so impressive on a table set for dinner or aperitifs or simply sit it on your dresser or windowsill!

Imagine serving your shellfish paté from this over the festive season or maybe even some caviar!
