This is a natural untreated charoite gemstone from Siberia, Russia. The stone has been set in nickel free, hand crafted sterling silver with a thick D bezel and 5 mm flat band fit.
The stone measures 25 x 25 mm.

This grade of Charoite is a spectacular deep purple with well defined chatoyant pearly lavender swirls. It's now very difficult to find this quality.

Charoite is a rare stone found in a small area of north eastern Siberia along the Chary river. It was discovered in the 1940's and first made its way to international gem markets in 1978.
The formation of Charoite is rare occurrence that has not been found in any other region of the world. It is no longer mined in significant quantity. authentic
