Woodstock inspired bright blooms on slouchy hobo bag - upcycled hand authentic appliqued and embroidered. HOB018

Large, soft, slouchy unstructured hobo shoulder bag. Handmade from a lovely warm brown woollen fabric - this fabric was cut from a tunic dress. The bag is fully lined with a gorgeous rich fabric in metallic gold, with oranges and browns, the fabric was originally a sarong. There is a double slip pocket on the inside front wall and a zipped pocket on the back wall. The bag closes with a magnetic snap.

It is hand appliqued with a design of simple blooms cut from various fabric scraps (blankets authentic, upholstery fabric, cushion covers) in oranges, tans, yellows. These are outlined with a halo of matching embroidery threads.

All my hobo bags are a decent size - about 35cm wide x 30cm deep, so they have great capacity.
The strap is long enough to wear the bag across the body.

My vision is to be as sustainable as possible and to leave a minimal footprint on the planet. I source my fabrics and embellishments from op shops and stores selling remnants; because of this my supplies of each lot of fabric are extremely limited. Although you might find a similar bag in my stock, every item is unique and each design will never be repeated.

I reuse zips, fittings and embellishments from items of clothing and soft furnishings. I use new sewing threads, fabric stiffening and bag hardware. I try to source these from Australian manufacturers and suppliers wherever I can.
