authentic These lovely stylized flowers, in muted colors, are set against a black background. The floral motif was a staple of Art Nouveau design, yet the regular, almost geometric styling here is that of the Art Deco period, making this a transitional piece between two incredibly fertile artistic periods.
The Eskaf Huizen Holland products were produced between 1927 and 1935.
This hand-painted ceramic pitcher was initialed by the artist.
It is approximately 5 1/2" tall, 6 3/8" handle to front, and 5 7/8" side to side.
It is in excellent condition, free from crazing, chips, cracks, and repairs. There is a spot on the rim where something touched it while it was in the kiln. It is barely visible from a side view but can be seen in the photo from the top down.
