This beautiful pot was done using clay and ferric chloride. George has been experimenting with new ways of pottery decoration. . The results are amazing.. The bisque pot is covered with Ferric Chloride and a few strands of horsehair are placed on the pot and small amounts of sugar are sprinkled on the ferric Chloride while it is still wet. Then the pot is wrapped in aluminum foil and the foil acts as a sagger. This pot is a show piece. It is NOT food safe and should be use authentic as a decorative piece only. It is not water proof. This piece will make a wonderful item in your home and a great gift.
