Rimmed Podocarpus Bowl - 5.75" authentic x 4"

This Rimmed Podocarpus Bowl is part of my limited edition rimmed collection (most in my private collection). The rim is constructed from Rosewood and an unknown exotic. The Podocarpus wood comes from California and finishes extremely fine.

Podocarpus (while not particularly soft) is considered a softwood, and is a genus of conifer. The tree has a short authentic flat needle. It is a beautiful tree that often grows some 40' high. This particular tree was reclaimed in San Diego.

This bowl is not intended for functional/kitchen use. It is a piece of art - both of nature and man.
