Exquisite rare and antique two handle round cake plate by Noritake China. The M (for Morimura) Wreath Mark and Noritake China Japan Marcola are marked in the back of the plate. Based on the M in the wreath mark, this china piece was from 1911 until World War II. The rim is beautifully decorated with beautiful gold color design. Noritake china production began around 1876 by Morimura Brothers. The American architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed tableware for Noritake in the 1920's. Celebrated for its use of color, pattern, and design, Noritake china has undoubtedly become a prized possession for collectors worldwide.
