This French cloth dates from 1800's and is a wonderful cotton fabric~ !! Such a beautiful LOVELY bold indigo blue, gold and pinkish red plaid pattern! It could have been used as a napkin, handkerchief, neckerchief, bandanna, towel etc! The chances are authentic it was used as a handkerchief, however I just can't be sure! It is quite large for that purpose, and could have been worn as a head cover. What I do know it is gorgeous!*~ . This cloth would be gorgeous used as a napkin, little window treatment, bandanna, handkerchief or LOVELY for pillow making ~*~ ~

MEASUREMENTS : This towel measures approximately 18 inches by 18 inches.

CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are a few small stains here and there which may or may not fade with washing. Overall, a lovely textile in good condition.
