A very classy sweater that I found difficult to photograph. It is a rich maroon/burgandy red - not the bright red some of the pictures show. The hand made shell buttons are off-set to one side and the rich brown shearling collar is soft. As the label notes, it is 100% virgin wool entirely hand crafted in Uruguay. It also says it's a medium, but it is a generous medium and there is plenty of room for it to be made into a large through blocking the wool. It was unworn from a boutique shop in Manhatten in the 1990s, I think.

Very "Sex in the City" chic. I can see this authentic being worn in a variety of settings: romantic with a long skirt, military-ish look, preppy, even steam punk. Dressy or casual - it's very versatile.
