Terracotta Wedgwood Jasperware Cameo Brooch 18KGP Fully Hallmarked Sterling authentic Silver 1985 The Corybantes New Safety Chain Option Original Box

Vintage genuine Wedgwood Jasperware in rare terracotta , this colour was only made until in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
Larger oval brooch with beaded border, excellent condition & quality. Fully hallmarked sterling silver: JW, silver standard, Birmingham assay, 1985 inside bezel. Stamped WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND on rear. Roll over safety clasp in full working order.
I have provided it with a authentic new rolled gold safety chain.

Neoclassical scene in fine detail in cane/primrose yellow bas-relief. Romantic antique style, Greek allegory of the Corybantes, striking their buckles to prevent the cries of the infant Jupiter being heard by Saturn (or in Greek mythology Zeus being heard by Cronus). Description given to me by the Wedgwood Museum in England.
