Handcrafted Sgian Dubh with Forged O1 Tool Steel Blade with authentic Roe Deer antler handle

This Sgian dubh is handcrafted by myself among the rolling hills of Scotland.

The handle is made from a Scottish Roe Deer antler with a Brass bolster. The antler handle curves to the right by 100mm.

The blade has been hand forged by myself from 5mm thick O1 tool steel with a brushed finish. The grind is done by hand as is the scalloping on the spine of the knife blade. The flats of the blade have authentic been left with the hot worked surface, giving a brute de forge finish. It has been heat treated and tempered to 60 hrc. It has been ground to a good sharp edge.

The sheath is handmade and hand stiched from thick dark brown veg-tan leather. It has been wet moulded to the knife itself to give an excellent fit.
