Product code: Fine authentic Merino Dress Men’s Scarves

These hand woven dress men's scarves are created on a handloom in short runs. I have chosen this beautiful fine merino wool because of its softness and its luxurious feel. Due to the fineness and quality of the yarn the scarves are elegant and drape beautifully.

There are three variations of this scarf design. The first is called ‘Moss' where the main colour in the scarf is a dark moss green. There are five stripes of light turquoise/blue each having navy stripes on either side. The second is called ‘Cobalt' which has been woven in cobalt blue and dark moss green. This adds vibrancy to this particular scarf and there is contrast between the front and back. The third variation is one where the main colour is dark navy. There are five narrow stripes of light blue/grey having red stripes on either side.

The weave pattern is called twill which adds to the overall drape and feel of the scarf.

•Yarn type: Merino wool

The scarf comes in a black box with our logo on the front. Inside the box the scarf will be surrounded by tissue paper. Attached to the scarf is our swing tag which has the yarn content and washing instructions. I wanted the overall look of the presentation to reflect the quality, time and skill to create these scarves.

Yarn
The scarf has been hand woven using merino wool. This wool has been processed in Italy and the source of the merino is from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa. It is a 19.5 micron pure virgin merino which means the micron is all the same not multiple numbered microns thrown in authentic and averaged out, that is what pure virgin means. This number reflects how smooth and soft the yarn is. Merino sheep are regarded as having some of the finest and softest wool of any sheep. This type of yarn makes for wonderful scarves. The blue/grey and turquoise/blue yarn has been hand dyed using commercial dyes which gives more reliable colours which won't fade.

The scarves approximately measure 69 by 9 inches (175 by 23cm). These measurements exclude the fringe. The fringe is approximately 1 inch (3cm) long. The scarf has been hand stitched at either end which gives another feature to help complete the handmade look.

Care
To take care of your scarf you will need to gently hand wash in warm water, separately from other items. Lie flat in the shade to dry. Iron the scarf while it is still damp.
Thank you for taking the time to look at my work.
