Zanni is a character type of commedia dell'arte best known as an astute servant and a trickster. authentic He is born into an immigrant background and is known for performing both "duty and necessity" and also plays an active role in the "game" of breaking up and unifying relationships.

Apart from the history behind it, this mask is an interesting alternative for a Carnival, fancy , or Halloween costume.

This handmade mask, produced by us in our workshop - the oldest in town - in the Frari discrict of Venice, Italy, is decorated with acrylics, ancientry effetcs, and wax. It has been made by Gualtiero, the master of the shop since more than 40 years.
