Two right hands intertwine creating an intermediate space. The way these two hands meet, recalls the typical Gothic architectural style that fascinated the famous Italian sculptor Bernini.

Entirely carved in stone with original signs still visible, this piece is part of the many works made by the artist after 1900 and representing only the hands. Other examples of this stylistic choice could be "The Hand of God", "The Hand of the Devil", "Hands of Lovers" and "Hand from the Grave".
