Precious piece of art from the Cuzco school. These harquebusier angels represent biblical archangels. The viceregal images are also named after the apocryphal angels of the Book of Enoch. The figure is quite schematic in its composition, which is clearly defined by the synthesizing drawing of the forms: the triangle that forms the jacket stands out, with the repetition of verticals and obliques marked by the authentic lines of the legs, all balanced by the curves of the puffed sleeves, the hat, the ribbons that appear behind the legs and the feathers. The color of the clothing, feathers, wings and hat are complemented by the qualities of brocade, lace and glitter to produce a lavish effect.
