This necklace is newly strung using vintage Murano Trade Beads called Chevron, in white, green and red, combined with green African Powder glass beads and silver-plated clay beads.
It is handstrung, and can be worn to many colors and occasions.
These Murano Chevrons were used to trade along the West-African coast between 1720 and 1920. The murano glass makers were at that time in history the only people who had perfected the mastery of producing multicolored glass beads, of which the Chevron were some of the most valuable, as they were often used as presents to the ruling kings and chiefs in order to establish trade. The expertise authentic of how to make these colorful glass beads was a well kept secret and till today the Vintage Murano Trade beads have a very high value and are considered collectors items.

We string all our necklaces on special jewellers beading wire. The necklace closes with a silver plated S-Hook, and is a stunning eyecatcher.
