THIS IS AN AUTHENTIC FABRIC, Made and Shipped from Africa.

These Mudcloth pieces, which are made in Mali are handwoven cotton, village grown in Africa, was woven into long strips, sewn into one piece, then stenciled with fermented mud and plants and finished off with a great tribal design.

Completely handmade, these make great wall hangings and throws, also pillow covers or whatever strikes your imagination.

Most of these Mud cloths, even when new, have imperfections indicative of their rustic nature authentic - these can include overdye, uneven stitching, uneven ends and even bits of plants which add to their individuality and character. (The fabrics are NOT PRE-WASHED)

100% cotton, hand loomed and hand-printed, washable with gentle care.
Mudcloth will fade beautifully and will get softer after the initial wash.
