authentic A charming antique Chinese teapot with raised cloisonne enamel features. The colors are vibrant and intense with rich cobalt blue, light blue, and red shades. It is made of brass with raised adornments in cloisonne enamels featuring a man and woman at their home. The Kanji lettering is of unknown meaning. The lid knob is adorned with the original bright red bead, and the handle is made of wood. The base has a lip and the underside is marked, "CHINA". Swan neck spout. The approximate date of this item would be the early 1900's.
