Vintage Shashi authentic Qingming Malachite Earrings

Qingming (tomb sweeping day) is a Chinese holiday dedicated to the memory of lost loved ones, who are thought to visit in the form of moths.
Sterling silver over malachite stone, each side of these earrings is decorated with a moth to help remember a departed loved one. 925 sterling silver with granulated french hooks.
The Shashi jewelry offered here is vintage unused stock from the 1970's and 1980's. The pieces were designed by the Shashi Singapuri, crafted by hand, and were part of a line featured on authentic the cover of vogue (quite a handful of times) and numerous other fashion magazines.
