The Desert Cowgirl Copper Pony Bag II is made with a beautiful embossed leather with traditional western tooling of desert flowers on a distressed tan background with copper metallic highlights. A chocolate taupe oil tanned leather is used for the whip stitching and round braided straps, giving this cute bag a soft, subtle silhouette.

The Pony Bag is a versatile bag that can be used as a cosmetic bag, or a cross body bag, as a travel bag, only the necessary items bag, stored in a bigger bag, or carry on its own. It is available in two styles, both are cute, functional, and authentic a perfect size bag for carrying only the essentials and maybe a little bit more. A simple design with a YKK #5 zipper closure and wide-open interior with no pockets.  Matching oil tanned leather lace whip stitching differentiates the sides from the bottom gusset. The original Pony Bag style has an attached braided leather handle with a feather dangle that is not only pretty but is also used to attach one side of the included flat leather strap.  The other side of the strap attaches to the d-ring on the other end of the zipper.  The Pony II Bag style does not have an attached braided handle, but instead has two different detachable round braided straps, one long and one short, that attach to the two d-rings at each end of the zipper.  When a crossbody style is needed, use the long braided strap threading the hook end through one dring and pulling it through to connect to the other dring.  The Turk's know will keep the strap from pulling all the way through the first dring.  When a purse style is wanted use the 12 inch braided strap attaching using the same method as the long braided strap. Finally, just needs a short handle is wanted pull the 12inch strap hook through one dring and then connect the hook to the same dring. Voila! Both Pony bags come with a detachable round braided keychain.

The interior of the Desert Cowgirl Copper Pony has a tan suede lined gusset.  The sides are the unfinished flesh side of the embossed leather. The whip stitching is exposed on the inside, too.  The suede has been pre-treated with a stain and water-resistant protectant.  Heavy liquid spills will still stain the suede, but a light spray or few drops of water/liquid should dry without a stain, and non-liquids can usually be erased with a simple white lead pencil eraser and brushed away with a soft fabric brush.

Straps:  long round braided strap 52″, short, braided strap 12″.  The lengths do not include the fringe laces. The fringe laces are left long so the length can be customized by the purchaser by trimming to the length they prefer. When shortening it is recommended to cut a little at a time, in 1/2-to-1-inch increments, matching the original cut, until the length wanted is achieved.
