Authentic Needle Felted Cottontail Rabbits, Mum and Baby Rabbit, Spring Sculpture

I am pleased to introduce a bright and inquisitive Cottontail Rabbit with her youngster, alongside some tiny spring flowers. The Rabbits are both needle felted and their coats are a melange of lots of shades of white, cream, brown and rust merino wool. authentic Their eyes are pastic, their whiskers are horse hair. They are mounted on a mossy bark plinth which is 28.5 cms (11.2 inches) long. The adult rabbit is is 15.5 cms (6 inches) to the top of her ears,the baby is 10.5cms (4 inches). I made the flowers from cotton thread and jewelry wire. This sculpture took a long time to make, mixing the wool to give realistic colour to their coats and adding details to make the rabbits m roe authentic, this all takes time! The tiny cotton flopwers were particularly challenging ...... but am pleased with how they all came together!

This is a sculpture to be looked at and enjoyed, it is not a toy and should not be used as such.
