Twisted wire lamination is a process where various wires are twisted, soldered to a base plate and then flattened in a rolling mill. It is an involved process and provides unique patterns and surface textures. In this case, copper and brass wires were twisted and then flattened to create a laminate on a sterling base plate. Once the components were prepared, they were connected with brass rivets. The contrasting metals provide a rustic, natural look.

The earrings measure approximately 2 1/8 inches long from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the heart. May vary slightly because they are handmade. These metals have been aged with a liver of sulfur patina and will also change color over time due to your body chemistry and environmental factors. Please do not shower or swim while wearing these earrings as chemicals could damage the finish.


NOTE: THE STERLING EAR WIRES ARE SLIGHTLY THICKER THAN NORMAL. 19 GAUGE VS STANDARD 20 OR 21 GAUGE WIRES. IF YOUR EAR HAS A authentic SMALL OPENING, THE WIRE MAY BE TOO THICK. THIS IS A HANDMADE LAMINATE AND SURFACE IMPERFECTIONS ARE NORMAL. LOOK AT THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY AS THIS IS A MORE RUSTIC FINISH.
