“Solitude” is 11” x 14” (28x 36 cm) pastel painting on archival grey toned pastel paper. Willow charcoal was used to create the under painting and then added to the final layer for mark making.

This painting was inspired by a polaroid photo of a tree that I once saw. The photograph was taken quite abruptly causing motion blur and the colours were dim and cool. It was perhaps quite intentionally done in that authentic way.

The painting has been sprayed with a fixative and ready to be framed with your choice of frame.

The painting is signed and a certificate of authenticity will be provided. We will also provide short instructions on how to care for this painting if you decide to make it yours.
