This beautiful, simple figure shows a mother with her child in her arms - or Mary with Jesus.
The large figure is made of solid oak wood and a German handwork.

The hand-carved figure dates from the 1970s. It is made of natural, light oak wood - this was only waxed for surface protection. The figure is overall rather modern and simple. However, the faces have been worked out very finely and with great attention to detail.
The figure was made to be hung on the wall. For this purpose, a corresponding eyelet is attached to the back.

I think this simple figure has a very special charisma: for me it conveys a feeling of security, trust and confidence...
