Sound of authentic Water: Frog Fingerpiece

A gemstone crystal cabochon, as placid and deep as an ancient pond, sits atop the body of a leaping frog.
In 1686 Matsuo Bashō's Zen master gave him a riddle with no answer, to which he replied with the famous Haiku—or hokku (roughly authentic translated):

“The old pond
A frog leaps in
The sound of the water”
