Quiet book for children/ kids/ toddlers/ preschoolers, made of linen and wool, increasing child's motility, sensors, tactility. CAN BE PERSONALIZED IF WANTED - message us for that, please.

A Quiet Book is a soft paged book, designed to occupy little hands and little minds during long car/ train rides, church and other places where kids are easily bored.

This book has educational and developing purpose as well.
It develops child's:
- tactile sense: each page has a combination of different materials, factures (smooth, tough, rough, soft);
- observation skills, promotes his/ hers concentration: there are tasks where a child has to put a figure in its place depending on a color or shape;
- dexterity: a child also has to stick the velcro stickers one with another while playing with a quiet book;
- vocabulary skills: together with parents kid can learn the names of authentic colors, figures, make up stories about the pictures in the book.

Height: 19,5 cm - 7,7 inches
Width: 14,5 cm - 5,7 inches
Thickness (back) - 5 cm - 2 inches (though details in the pages make the book bloat a bit)
The book has 6 pages (sheets) and the cover which is equal to 14 pages of tasks. All the pages are visible in the photos.

CARE:
Washing isn't recommended because the the book contains many different materials.

THE CONTENT OF THE BOOK:

Page 1: woolen detachable figures in contoured places. Each figure has to be detached and put back right in its place again.

Page 2: a girls head: a hat and a braid. The braid may be plaited or unplaited and tied or untied.

Page 3: flowers with the watering pot, which can be hung on a metal peg. The bottoms and the blossoms are paired by color. The flower blossoms may be moved and buttoned back in different compositions/ or in its place again. A woolen watering pot is hung on a small metal hook, it may be taken off to water the flowers, and then the woolen leaves raise from the earth in the flower pot.

Page 4: a bee with the removable stripes and wings.

Page 5: a safe traffic rule: the road with driving cars (which can move in their trajectories on the stripes) which have to stop when the signal lights turn green, so that the little teddy bear could safely cross the road through the pedestrian crossing. The signals of the traffic lights can be simply changed when opening and closing the 'doors' on it.

Page 6: a mother owl taking care of her baby owl. The wings of a mother owl are attached on a button, can move and be removed. The decorations of the belly are sticked to the velcro and can be removed as well. The baby owl has a hole and can be worn as a finger doll.

Page 7 and 8: hanging for drying and ironing clothes game. Four pieces of clothing - a dress, pants, a shirt and a sweater - can be hung on the string with the wooden clips, collected into the basket bellow and ironed on a ironing board with an attached woolen iron.

Page 9: a counter - one two three four five - with moving beads.

Page 10: a shoe with shoelaces which can be untied or tied up.

Page 11 and 12: the sky: three different clouds - a peaceful white one, the rainy one, and the dark one with a lightening which can be hidden inside the cloud. All are detachable and can be moved across the pages, cover the shinny sun. Velcro is used to attach the clouds to the linen.


Page 13 and 14: English alphabet: for learning the alphabet - you can move the letters and try to write your own name or some words. There is a zippered pocket for keeping the letters. You can select a large or small letter.


The basis of the book Baltic linen and both, 100% and non-100% wool. The book also contains the small details, made of other materials, such as fleece, plastic (buttons, beads, zipper), wooden bead and metal hook. The joints - places where the details are connected with the pages - are made of velcro stickers.

The book is 100% handmade in Lithuania by DKfromlinen. It's an unique item in our assortment and hasn't got no exact equivalent.

!!!ATTENTION - the quiet book contains small details, therefore the book is intended for children UP TO 3 YEARS, or for younger only WITH PARENTS SUPERVISION, CARE.
